American Curl

Origin
The American Curl, with its ears curved backwards, is undoubtedly a striking appearance. In June 1981, a starving black kitten was found in California by Joe and Grace Ruga. This kitten, named Shulamith, later had a litter in which several kittens had curled ears. Feline genetics specialists determined that the ear mutation is dominant and causes no health problems. It exists in both shorthair and longhair versions.

Character
The American Curl is a gentle, affectionate and playful cat that remains active throughout its life. It gets along well with children and other pets.
