Origin
The Si-Rex is a rare breed arising from crossings between Siamese and Rex cats (Cornish Rex or Devon Rex). The aim was a cat with the slender, elegant Siamese type combined with the wavy or curly coat of the Rex breeds. The breed is not yet recognised by all federations.

Character
Very active, vocal and intelligent — typical Siamese traits. Also playful and cuddly like the Rex breeds. Very attached to its owner.

Care
The curly coat is very fine and needs minimal care. Gentle brushing to avoid damaging the curls.

Body: long, slender and muscular. Oriental type.
Head: long wedge, straight profile.
Eyes: almond-shaped, slightly oblique. Blue (colourpoint) or green.
Ears: large, wide at the base.
Tail: long and thin.
Coat: short, wavy or curly, soft texture.
Colour: Siamese colourpoint colours.
