Origin
The Tiffany (also known as Chantilly-Tiffany or Foreign Longhair) is a North American breed that appeared in the 1960s. Its precise origin is uncertain, but it is thought to descend from longhaired chocolate-coloured cats. After confusion with other breeds and near extinction in the 1980s, the breed was revived by breeders in the US and Canada.

Character
Friendly, gentle and very affectionate. Less noisy than the Siamese, it loves communicating with its owner. Playful and enjoys company.

Care
Brush twice a week. Little undercoat so tangles are rare.

Body: medium, muscular, semi-foreign type.
Head: broad and slightly rounded wedge.
Eyes: large and oval. Gold-yellow in chocolate specimens.
Ears: medium, wide at the base, with tufts.
Tail: long and plumed.
Coat: semi-long, silky and lustrous, little undercoat.
Colour: chocolate and its dilution (lilac) are traditional; other colours also exist.
